    Hi,

ADI Means APPLICATION DESKTOP INTEGRATION.. Now it is out dated.. GO For WEB ADI

It is the functionality in Oracle Apps R12... with this functionality we will upload all kinds of entries like the Payroll/ GL Entries... Etc

    Regards,

We are using WEB ADI in Oracle Applications R12.1.3 so I want to become as familiar as I can. This looks like a great start.
    Thanks a lot

My name is Jay Graff and here is my situation and I was hoping that you could point me in the right direction.
    • One of our entities is a construction site and therefore has no access to a computer, but they do use a punch clock to track time.
    • They are currently sending Excel spreadsheets to record their hours worked and we are looking for a way to import this data into the Oracle Timesheet module.
    • Currently the Excel process is manual and, while a bit slow, is ok as there is only 10 employees … but we have bid on a big project with a ramp-up of possibly 400 employees on a weekly basis so this manual process could get QUITE cumbersome really quickly.
    • We are looking at possible options – at the site, since they use punch clocks there could possibly be an extract of the hours per day then upload into the Oracle Timesheet module for approval.
      • Could we use Oracle Web ADI to upload the data rather than Timesheet Import?
        • If so, what are advantages / disadvantages of doing that?
      • Should this upload go directly into Project Controls or Timesheets?
      • How often could the files be uploaded? Daily or weekly bundle?

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated.
