    Hi there. I want to use Oracle Advanced Security to encrypt data sent between Oracle and DB2 on an iSeries using the Oracle Gateway for DRDA software.

    The DRDA gateway software now only requires software on the Oracle server so I'm not sure how to set up encryption. Previously we would add lines to the sqlnet.ora files on both the client and the server as follows:

    Edited the server sqlnet.ora this way:

    # - Oracle Advanced Security Network Security - Server side

    sqlnet.authentication_services = kerberos5
    sqlnet.crypto_checksum_server = accepted
    sqlnet.crypto_checksum_types_server = (MD5)
    sqlnet.encryption_types_server = (DES)
    sqlnet.crypto_seed = 4fhfguweotcadsfdsafjkdsfqp5f201p45mxskdlfdasf
    sqlnet.encryption_server = accepted

    # - Oracle Advanced Security Network Security - Client side

    sqlnet.authentication_services = kerberos5
    sqlnet.crypto_checksum_client = required
    sqlnet.crypto_checksum_types_client = (MD5,SHA1)
    sqlnet.encryption_types_client = (DES)
    sqlnet.crypto_seed = "i5rrruweotcadsfdsafjkdsfqp5f201p45mxskdlfdasf"
    sqlnet.encryption_client = required

    But now there is no client software. Any ideas how to setup encryption in this instance?

    Many thanks.
