    Hi all,

This is swathi. Can anyone please help me with the issue i'm facing.
I need to integrate oracle ucm with oracle access manager.
I installed Orcle UCM with the help of Sadik's article.
I used oracle 10g database and apache web server.Got an error while installing oracle UCM

Oracle darabase is not using AL32UTF8 as its configured character encoding. The AL32UTF8 encoding is recommended to allow full support for all other components and add ons.To continue installation using this database, set install property

    Installtableswithout UTF8 Encoding=true

I ignored it and continued with the installation and could install oracle ucm without any error in log flie.

But I'm not able to get the log-in page through the browser.

Can anyone please suggest the steps to be taken to solve the issue

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Swathi,

    Database Setup Issue:
    - Since we are using the database for content management related products and many of the transactional data used to be transacted using XML format, this is the reason the database must have the "AL32UTF8" character set. Though we don't have the character set we can go ahead and install the UCM product but some of the XML Converter and etc...add ons doest work as expected.

    Login Issue:
    - Can you please let us know what is the URL you are trying to access the UCM application.
Ex: http://[hostName]:[port]/[UCM-Instance-Name](During installation what ever we have given as servername and which ever we have configured in apache httpd.conf file)

For Example, If you have in your httpd.conf file as below, then the URL to access the UCM application should be "http://hostName: port/idc1"

    IdcUserDB idc1 "/u01/CServer_Home/data/users/userdb.txt"
    Alias /idc1 "/u01/CServer_Home/weblayout"
    <Location /idc1>
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
    DirectoryIndex portal.htm
    IdcSecurity idc1

Let us know if you need any more assistance.
