    Good morning, i need your help please

    An application server (middleware) is given 2 Databases names called:
    ACTICONV1 y ACTICONV2

    but in the env variable $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin i can not find SIDs for those 2 name databases

    Code (SQL):
    /oracle/product/12.1.2/client/network/admin
    They have difetent ip adresses and sids as u can see:

    Code (SQL):
    $ cat tnsnames.ora

    convertaf =

      (DESCRIPTION =

        (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = exam-activ-prd.nh.inet)(PORT = 1521))

        (CONNECT_DATA =

          (SERVER = DEDICATED)

          (SERVICE_NAME = convertaf)

        )

      )

    ILARCONV =

      (DESCRIPTION =

        (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 10.81.170.17)(PORT = 1521))

        (CONNECT_DATA =

          (SERVER = DEDICATED)

          (SERVICE_NAME = ilarconv)

        )

      )

    Nor in O¿DBC library i cant find them:
    Code (SQL):
    /oracle/product/12.1.2/client/jdbc/lib

    Is anywhere else i can find the SISs related to those Database names?

    Poactdb1 (10.81.170.xx) y Poactdb2 (10.81.170.yy).

    Once i identify the ids i can use tnsping command to monitor response database issue?
    THank for your help in advanced

    Those may be configured to use JDBC connect strings and if that's the case then an application configuration file should contain that information. You can also check the listener.log for connections to those databases and relevant information should be present.

    Thanks you very much. Now I come up for these questions

    1 where can I get that path for the
    application configuration file ?

    2 the listener.log is located on the app server? If so where is the path?
    Thanks four your help in advanced

    You will not find such information in any of those jar files; the information would be in a JDBC call in the application or in an application configuration file (possibly9 an 8.ini or *.cfg file). The jar files are the actual drivers and they are NEVER built with an Oracle SID or server name.
