This paper will briefly define an Audit and Tuning Methodology to be applied for improving performance of Oracle based applications. The paper also discusses rolling out of newer enhancements like parallel features, bitmapped indexes, PL/SQL functionalities etc. with a view to improve application performance.
The paper is intended to help the audience prepare a Performance Audit and Recommendation Plan for ensuring that their Oracle based applications are performant and make optimal use of available resources and features.
