Where to find or download DBCA - WinXP - 10g Express

All I currently want to do is install Oracle Express and create a database using DBCA.

It shouldn't be too hard to do but it seems as though it is.

I can't find DBCA after the install or find out where to download it, every post/google article I read concerning it simply says run DBCA.

Can anyone tell me how to run DBCA or the url to download it from.

    Oracle 10g
    Win XP.

    Thanks
    Murdocha

Oracle express edition does not include DBCA as it only allows for one database to be created, and that is done during the software installation. If you want to create your own database then you will need either Oracle standard edition or standard edition one.

    Hi There,

I am using Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 on my local machine. Can anyone tell me how/where can I get/download/use DBCA for creating and configuring the database?

I guess I have found it out:
    To launch DBCA:

    1. Log on to your computer as a member of the administrative group that is authorized to install Oracle software and create and run the database.

2.To launch DBCA on a Windows operating system, click Start and then select Programs, Oracle - home_name, Configuration and Migration Tools, and then Database Configuration Assistant.

3.To launch the DBCA on UNIX, or as another method on a Windows operating system, enter the following command at a system prompt:

    dbca

The dbca utility is typically located in ORACLE_HOME/bin.

    The Welcome window appears.

Click Next to continue. The DBCA Operations window appears.

It can also be run from the command prompt on Windows as long as you are logged in as the user that installed the Oracle software:
