    Hello
    i have the following architecture Solaris 10 , RAC + Dataguard 11.1.0.6.0
    Primary site 2 sparc servers
    logical standby 2 sparc server
I'm going to move the database from the sparc architetures to x86.

    The x86 have the follwowing Solaris 10 , RAC + Dataguard 11.1.0.6.0
    Primary site 2 servers
    logical standby 2 server

I need to move the database from sparc to x86 architectures. I'm in the willing to use expdp to dump the database data (only data) from sparc architectures and impdp to load the data un the x86 architectues.
Is it possible ti load the data in x86 architectires using impdp?
is there any issue in using data pump?

    Thanks
    Giuseppe

You can certainly use impdp/expdp to migrate your data between SPARC and x86 platforms; it's the traditional way to migrate data cross-platform without data loss. You are, however, using 11g (11.1) and have available to you cross-platform migration tools in RMAN:

It's your choice between expdp/impdp and RMAN.
