    Hello...Pls give me a solution that how can i build a user defined tool like a save button in a oracle d2k application..thank you.

    1. Create a button
    2. Label it to Save
    3. Write DML (Insert into) statement for smart trigger "when-button-pressed"
    4. Commit the record.

    thank you for replying..but my mean was that to make a control (user defined) like a simple text item or button control provided by oracle form 6i.

    You mean to have button control in toolbar.

    Exactly that a control like if we wish t0 make a text item which stores the values as in encrypted form etc.
