Total sum of a column using Form Builder 6

    Hi, All

    I'm New Oracle Forms.
    I'm using Form Builder 6.i. I want to total sum of a column “Qty”
    So how can ths possible?

    I assume you mean you want a running total. I would take this approach. I presume that you have a field defined on the block 'Running total' which is not based on a table.

    Define a global variable in the when-new-form-instance trigger. In the Post-Query trigger:

    Code (Text):
    :global.var := :global.var + :qty;
    :run_tot := :global.var;
     
    :qty is the field in the block. Remember to initialize :global .

    just add a non data base field in the end of your column and by pressing the F4 Function Key go the property pallet of the field and there you can use the formula or function to sum
