    Hi

E-mail notifications are sent when batch services are run. This happens by default every night, but it can be done manually at any time by doing the following:

    1. Log into the content server as sysadmin or other admin user
    2. Click on administration -> configure records manager -> batch services -> run all

There are numerous ways to have e-mail notifications sent to a specific user when different events occur. Here they are:

    1. Important records can be made to be subject to review, and then an email will be sent to the reviewer(s) that is specified on the date, then the period, that is specified.

    a. on the checkin form for records in the "vital review fields" area you check the "vital records checkbox, fill in the vital reviewer(s), the vital period and record review date and check in the record
    b. an email will be sent to the reviewer(s) on the date, and then periods that were specified

    2. The "Notify Recipient" feature can be used to have reviewer(s) receive an email at every disposition event.

    a. Administration -> configure records manager
    b. Look for the "notify recipient" field. Use the pulldown to select sysadmin or any other user(s) who will get the email

    3. Edit the disposition rule to add a reviewer to get an email when the rule is triggered

    a. edit the disposition rule
    b. use the pulldown in the "notification reviewer" field to choose the user(s) who will be notified when the rule's disposition events occur.
