    Your case is totally different than mine.
    Have a look at the procedure i have posted. In this case it may not be necessary for the database to be in archivelog mode.

    Yes, I looked at it and totally different.
    However your procedure does not work for me. I have tried to test it both on my Solaris OS 64 bit and Linux machine.

    !ps -edf | grep dbw

    oracle 12386     1   0 02:15:06 ?           0:00 ora_dbw0_arju
    shows dbw there, but whenever I search it does not show any.
