    I have just installed a fresh EBS - R12 on linux VM box here is the fun message:hurray i got back when try to run a simple request to check active users.

    "
    The concurrent manager defined to process this request is not active in the current work shift. The request will not process within this work shift. "

    The ran adcmctl.sh status

    Got:
    Internal concurrent manager status could not be determined

    The checked :
    /home/Oracle/Prod/inst/apps/Prod_linux/log/appl/conc/log/Prod:

    Starting PROD_0408@PROD Internal concurrent manager Shell Process ID 7188

    Found dead process: spid=(7239), cpid=(13808), ORA pid=(23), manager=(0/1)

    could not find service instance context for service instance number 6269
    /home/Oracle/Prod/inst/apps/Prod_linux/log/appl/admin/log/adcmctl.txt

    ===

    adcmctl.sh : shutting down concurrent manager for PROD....
    Oracle password:
    Submitted reques 391203 for concurrent FND SHUTDOWN

    ===
    You are running adcmctl.sh version 120.12010000.3

    Questions....

    After doing so research i notice some of the simple test to do is to run diag test (i dont know the syntax)
    Run Cmclean.sql (dont know the systax and where to find it)

    A straight forward step on the troubleshooting CM will be thorough appreciated from the my EBS gurus out there.

    Thanks for reading cheers ..

    Which simple request are you trying to run?

    Do this:

    1. Go to the System Administrator responsibility
    2. Go to Concurrent > Manager > Administer
    3. Query Manager : <Your Simple Request's Name> :)
    4. Make sure that Target Processes have a non-zero value and the Status of the Manager is Active.

    If the Status is not Active but the Target Process is set to a non-zero value, Deactivate and Activate the Concurrent Manager using the Deactivate and Activate buttons on this form.
