    Hi,

We had installed connection server after the content server. Connection server was running properly. Connection server's prerequisite was content server installed, up and running. We tried to configure the connection server's outbound adapters. And we needed to restart the content server. And it failed to restart. We checked all the configurations in tnsnames.ora file, listener.ora file. They seem to be correct.

The error that we are getting while restarting the content server is following:-

Request Failed Unable to alter the process. Unable to execute action 'start' on server 'idc'. Please check the error logs for a full description of the error.

And the error logs description is as under:

Unable to obtain the console output. Unable to execute the service 'GET_SERVER_OUTPUT' on server 'idc'. Unable to connect to server localhost on port 4444. The server is not available.

well it's obvious isn't it, your connection server was unable to communicate with the content server. Can you disable connection server and try restarting the CS and see if it works
