Hi, what are all the datatypes in oracle. I am familiar with number, char, varchar, date and timestamp. But I came across a datatype called comment in oracle forms so does oracle database have any datatype called comment or this seems to be some type of custom datatype?

thanks, just wanted to find out

hi... no comment is not an oracle database data type if you like, what you probably saw was some customization in forms. if you explain a little more specifically we can explain better.

I don't know much about Oracle Forms. After a small googling session , for me it looks like as property than a datatype.

You may find it right here
