I made the upgrade procedure in Oracle database 11g on computer systems, HP-UX

After completion of the process I have problems with the database backup.
Database backup is not performed in its entirety. During the implementation process ora_dw0 charged 100%
and the only solution is to KILL the process

Please help in solving the problem

What information from the database do you have when this occurs? What does v$waitstat report? What does v$sesstat show? You need to remember that 11g uses more memory resources than earlier releases; top -w will report the top processes using resources and will show the load on the CPUs. ipcs -mb will report the shared memory segments so you can see how much shared memory the database is using. What utility are you using for database backups? How large is this database? What configuration settings are in force if this is RMAN? Are you backing up to disk or to tape? The oracle process ora_dbw0 is not a backup process, it's the database writer process that flushes the buffers to disk. Have you had a system administrator check the disk controller for issues and to measure the throughput? How are the database files (including redo logs and tempfiles) configured? Are they all on a single device (hopefully not)? Have you placed the redo logs and/or controlfiles on the same filesystem/lun as the datafiles?

There is much to be told before anyone can assist you.

ORA-07445 errors are generally operating system errors that Oracle merely reports. The message 'Address not mapped to object' usually indicates memory errors in shared pools; such errors can usually be corrected by stopping and restarting the database so I would start with that and see if the issue goes away (I've seen this error message many times and I've always been able to clear it by a database restart but I'm not aware of your hardware configuration nor your database init settings).

Thanks for sharing the backup process with us in case if we face the problems, also i have seen Rolta gives Oracle application services which might help us in better and easier way.
Thanks for this useful information. Also check Rolta.
