    Hi,
I installed oracle 11g2 on RedHat6.3 machine, after installation(enterprise edt) i could not found diag folder,
whereas when i did the installation previously "3rdpty/oracle/diag" folder generated but not this time.
can any body know why this folder not generated and its use?

    Thanks in advance!!

I can't tell you why it did not get created -- it is the standard location for tracefiles and logs from the database in 11.2.

I did installation with software part only (not with software+config), is this might be the reason??

Yes. The database-centric directories will be created when you use DBCA to create a database. Save the scripts before you create the database and you can see the steps it takes.
