    Help!

    I am student learning SQL. We were given an assignment to design dimension tables and write OLAP queries.

    Fact Table is called landerc.bird
    Dimensions Tables are called, bird_species, observers, regions, spotdate

    and my query....

    SELECT ordo, family, species, country, region_name, year, season, count(Obs_strenth)"Observation Type"
    FROM bird_species, spotdate, regions
    WHERE landerc.bird.species=bird_species.code
    AND landerc.bird.spotdate=spotdate.spot_date
    AND landerc.bird.region=regions.code
    GROUP BY CUBE(ordo, family, species, country, region_name, year, season);

    i think something is not right on the landerc.bird.region, landerc.bird.spotdate, landerc.bird.species

    ;)

    Definitely it should give errors as there is no table/view or alias like landerc

    Btw,

    landerc.bird is missing in From clause list.
