    Job Description

    Responsibilities:

    •Application Infrastructure Support for development, testing and production environments at Web / Application / Integration layers.
    •Managing application users, file-system / storage, DNS names and servers through regular monitoring of systems.
    •Work on Infra tickets related to environment-level work requests / issues / deployments binding to the service level agreement, providing update to requestor(s) on regular basis and handling escalations related to the tickets owned by team.
    •Analyzing critical issues and providing workaround / permanent solution and RCA.
    •Initiate/Draft & Implement the environment change requests, follow-up with concerned parties for approvals.
    •Coordinate for the implementation of UNIX/Network/Database change activities from application’s perspective.
    •Communicating the environment outages in advance to the stakeholders / other support teams / testing / development teams.
    •Understanding for release/project requirements, attending status calls; project/release specific tickets execution.
    •Plan small/medium infrastructure projects (such as server/instance migrations) and rollout the projects with minimum/agreed service disruption and provide post-rollout support.
    •Responsible for creating/modifying/maintaining monitoring scripts for standardization / as per Level-2/3 teams’ requirements.
    •Regular monitoring of applications, servers, processes and resources; publishing daily sanity check / health-check report to concerned distribution groups.
    •Managing the application to application backend connectivity / integration(s) and making changes on need basis.
    •Develop scripts/tools to simplify work and to contribute for continuous performance improvement.
    •Responsible for activities to comply with IT regulations/standards/policies such as fixing security issues

    •Qualifications

    •Must have 2-7 years of relevant experience in application infrastructure/platform support.
    •Good troubleshooting knowledge and knowledge on analysis/debugging tools/options.
    •Knowledge on ITIL framework: specifically service support, incident and problem management.
    •Knowledge on monitoring tools, java profilers and log analyzer tools.
    •Knowledge in DMZ / Firewalls and general networking concepts.
    •Good verbal and written communication skills.
    •Ability to work within tight deadlines and business pressures is a must.
    •Must be flexible / willing to work weekend or evenings if necessary.
    •Ability to take up challenging tasks and accomplish in committed timelines.
    •Ability to change the work environment to bring-in improvements in operational efficiency and service levels.
    •Specific technical skills:

    Mandatory: WebLogic, IPlanet (SunOne) Web Server, Apache Web Server, Basic UNIX Commands (AIX/Sun Solaris)
    Good to have: ITIL, UNIX Shell Scripting, IBM WebSphere MQ Series, IBM Tivoli, Tomcat, Web MethodsTitle: WebLogic/ Web/App/Middleware Administrator/Specialist
