    Dear Bharatappa,

Yes the solution is to configure a Periodic alert for all orders booked between ...... amd get it to fire daily easier solution
    Keep the following in mind
When an Order is entered no alert should be sent.
When the Order is booked the status changes to booked or awaiting shipping then the alert should be sent.
When a new line is entered then an after insert event alert should be trigerred but duplicates should not be sent out
Attaching the brief steps doc.Found it
    cheers
    Ramji

    The solution:
    Application OM
    Name: Order Booking Alert
    Enabled Check it
    Frequency daily
    Define the alert (Query)

    SELECT ooh.order_number , ool.line_number||'.'||ool.shipment_number line_number , ordered_item, ordered_quantity, ool.flow_Status_codeINTO &order_num, &line_num,&Item_num, &Quantity, &line_StatusFROM oe_order_headers_all ooh, oe_order_lines_all oolWHERE ooh.header_id = ool.header_idAND ( ooh.booked_date >= to_date(Sysdate,'DD-MON-RRRR HH24:MI:SS') OR (ool.creation_Date >= to_date(Sysdate,'DD-MON-RRRR HH24:MI:SS') AND ool.creation_date > ooh.booked_date)

    Dear Bharat,

In the first step you defined the alert. I should have reworded it. In the first step you specify when the alert is to be run ie from day run parameter (every day) etc.

Once you submit the alert it would be scheduled according to the above definition. Submit the request as required means define the periodicity as required and submit it to schedule it and not as normally you would do in SRS (so apologies I was a bit off context in a hurry).
    cheers

    Dear Bharat,

Good luck and do capture the step by step screenshots and upload it. Many people will benefit from an understanding of the way alerts work and also the self confidence to do their own tests.
    cheers

    Bharatappa,

I do not see any issue with the Oracle side. In which environment did you do this testing. Do you have permissions to send email. This is an environment issue. Could you work with your exchange admin to see and also Oracle DBA to check if the notification mailer is working as desired. And please do add your discovery to the document so people get a good hang of how to tackle such things going forward.
    cheers

    Hi Bharat,

You want to sent notification on daily basis or for each and every order it should send notification?.

    1. If its Daily basis you want to send wat and all orders got booked today you can go in with Periodic Alert which mentioned by Ramji.
    2. If its not daily basis its it by order basis then go with Event Alert on table OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL checking for status 'Booked'

Hope i am right ramji ?

    Cheers
