    Thanks Raj!!:)

One more clarification regarding the transfer of data from oracle temp table to netezza.
So i can use "nzload" [to load data into netezza] within the oracle session. The system will allow.
    Is my understanding correct?

My understanding is something as below :

    Shell script
connect sqlplus -- oracle session begins
    create temp tables
    load temp tables

nzload -- load data from temp tables to netezza
end sqlplus --- oracle session closes and temp table drops

    Thanks,
    vibha

    yes . You can.

If this is batch process, no need to create the Temporary table whenever you start the session. Once you created the Global temporary tables, they will be there in the database as long as you don't drop them. Only the data persists session wise, not the table structure.

    Hi Vibha,
This document could be useful for you probably, describes options for choosing delimiters and limitations, search for "Best Practices for high speed Data Transfer from Oracle to Netezza using FastReader"
