    Hi

I need to implement below scenario

We have a permission out absence type. When an employee takes more than 8hrs permission out hours more than 8 should be deducted from annual leave. Below 8hrs should deducted from permission out.

Is it should be done from modification of fast formula or any other process .

    Please provide information

    Thanks in Advance
    Arjun

    Dear,

By default the absence duration is not calculated once the user enters the absence start and end date/time. There are 2 ways in HRMS to calculate the absence of an duration automatically.

Method 1: The below method is applicable only if the 'HRMS Availability' functionality is implemented.

Step 1: Set the HR: Schedule Based Absence Calculation profile option to Yes. Here the application uses the worker schedule and calendar events assigned to calculate the duration. This works only if the schedules and calendar events are defined and are assigned to the various levels in your work strucures.

Method 2: This method is applicable if the 'HRMS Availabilty' is not implemented or you do not want the duration to be calculated based on schedules and calendar events of the employee.

In this method we write a 'Fast Formula' to calculate the duration. The limitation is that there can only be one formula per Business Group. Some localizations have seeded formula which the system uses by default.

If you are using second approach, then write a code in the BG Absence duration fast formula.

    Regards
