How to set default Meta data value on Info Update Form in UCM ?
I have a drop down meta data field which has 3 values in the list. When ever some body goes to update the content information page (GET_UPDATE_FORM service call) I want the display default to first value in the list.
Can anybody help me to achieve this ?

    Cheers,

    Jay

You need to use the configuration manager applet, go to the Rules tab and add a new rule with activation based on your content that sets the default value for your metadata field.

    Hi, Thanks for ur reply.

I want to display a specific value on the update form overriding the value that is pulled from the DB. So when ever a user submits this Doc Info form, the form is submitted with the overridden value, unless the user has selected a different value before submitting the update form. Does the rule activation condition allow this?
