    hi, we have been facing a problem for many days where our Preventive maintenance functionality is not working in enterprise asset management after the application of Oracle Apps Rollup Patch RUP 6. We get the error:
    We had raised a SR with metalink and they have told us that this is a BUG and a patch is underway. To immediately resolve the issue, they asked us to recompile the files
    Constant.java
    State.java
    StateStack.java
    ConstantStack.java

    and load them using loadjava command.

    The SR has been on-going for many days, and we are yet to find a solution. How do we recompile and how to use loadjava? we would appreciate if someone can throw some more light on the issue.

    thanks

    If you have the java source file, i believe to recompile you need to use the javac command on command-line

    use the loadjava command to load the compiled java class files in the database

    hi.. to compile (or recompile) java files, use the javac command as below on the command line
    Code (Text):
    $javac Constant.java
    Frm wht u say u might have to recompile all four java files u have got as shown above. when u compile the java source files it will produce class files with the same name. ex. Constant.class
    next You can load the class files as
    Code (Text):
    $ loadjava -f -v -r -user "<DB_User>/<DB_PASSWORD>" Constant.class
    see if this helps u out...
