    Hi,
How can I find the SQL code that runs behind any given Oracle report from my client PC?

For example, in some of the on-line lookup applications, after looking up information,
    I can select
    Help/Diagnostics/Examine

    Block: SYSTEM
    Field: Last_Query

and this will return the SQL statement that happens behind the scenes.

I want to accomplish the same thing, perhaps from a log file, that shows me the SQL that is generated when a report is run.

I believe you can't see the SQL code for REPORTS using "Help-Examin..." way.

    - You must need know what report is running behind the scene and have access of report and then open the Report in Oracle Report Builder.

    Hi urwethe,

RIAZ is right, you can't see the code like that. In most cases the report that you are running would have a source RDF file (some can be spawned). You have to open the .RDF file in reports builder to understand the code they are running.
