how to find similar columns having similar data, but different column name..?

    I'm havng 2 tables having having different no. of columns and different column names.,.

    For both tables there's a column having similar records, but different column names.,.

    How could we find that column..?

    carrying out comparing on data type of columns.

    1) used dba/all/user_tab_cols

    2) DBMS_COMPARISON

    I see that all the abov methods are for 11g..Since I'm using 10g could U tel any other way to find the columns having the same records.,.

    For 10g
    it is possible to use views of the dictionary : used dba/all/user_tab_cols
    ,dba/all/user_table and etc

    It is possible to use this simple decision if you it is necessary to compare columns on data type and to show the matched

    Note:
    You can provide an example of the description of the your tables for compared structure ?
