How to add a column to existing report

    Hi all

    Please guide me to How to add a column in an existing report in GL_TOP/reports/US

    report name is GLRJED

    i want to add EFFECTIVE_DATE from GL_JE_LINES

    I tried but it was giving an error about repeating frame.

    Help is highly appreciated.

    Hi Pasha,

    I think you are modifying the standard report and it is not advisable to modify the standard report.

    Instead copy standard report and add the new columns whatever required and port to custom top..

    Based on what little information is here...it sounds like you've added the column to the query and then 'allowed' the Report engine to add the column automatically to the layout. And it didn't do the last part correctly.

    So...open the Report Layout, then select the column in the Navigator which will highlight the object on the Layout and check to ensure the report column is completely within the Repeating Frame that encompasses it. If it is...check the properties of the column field to ensure the item is NOT expandable...which 'can' move the item outside the frame at runtime.

    Then check the repeating frame name and check that field what you are trying to add in that frame whether it's there or not in that data group
