GUI for oracle database

Discussion in 'General' started by SalahuddinAsh, Dec 30, 2013.

  1. Hey guys,
I'm a new member in the forum
and I've studied SQL and Pl/SQL in the college and used Oracle 10g and Oracle Form builder
I've created a full database for our store, but I don't like using Form builder an the GUI for the database system
What other choices are there that I can use as a GUI?
I hope I made it clear
    Thanks in advance

Alternative is : iSQL * plus prompt.

If you wish to use terminal prompt then do the following:

To use terminal prompt ( Linux ) you need to set following environment variables.
    1. ORACLE_SID
    2. ORACLE_HOME
    3. PATH
On command prompt ( windows ), you need to start oracle service & need to set ORACLE_SID
    1. net start oracleservice<your sid>
    2. ORACLE_SID

After these, issue: sqlplus "/ as sysdba" //you will get sys access or if you want to connect to any other user then use credentials accordingly.
