    Add space to the affected tablespace.

    You either resize the existing file:

    alter database datafile '<file name and path>' resize <new size>;

    or add a datafile:

    alter tablespace <tablespace name> add datafile '<file name and path>' size <file size>;

    All of this information is available at http://tahiti.oracle.com (the online documentation).

    I think you should do.....this

    *1. Manually COALESCE Adjacent Free Extents
    2. Add a DATAFILE
    3. Resize DATAFILE
    *4. Enable AUTOEXTEND
    5. Defragment tablespace

    Since it is likely that the tablespace is locally managed item 1 should be unnecessary. Items 2 and 3 were suggested 2 days ago and solved the problem. Item 4 should NOT be done without limiting the autoextension by setting a maximum size (something you didn't mention) and, going back to my first statement since this is likely an LMT item 5 should also not be necessary.

    You did not ask about the storage and, as such, you assumed many items which most likely do not apply to this situation.
