According to my knowledge its not possible to create templates using excel. You have to create template using .rtf file and then you need to provide outputs in excel sheet.

    Hi Durga,

Follow the article id : 1352000.1 in Oracle Support.

It clearly explains how to develop multiple sheet report and update here as soon you are done.

    Cheers

    Hi Kiran,

    Thanks for your replay,
I downloaded the .xml,.xsl files from mentioned id in the metalink.

Now I am registering these files in application.
I created concurrent program and data definition.

But while creating the template,Which TYPE we need to mentioned here from the following.
    PDF,RTF,XSL-FO,XSL-HTML,XSL-TEXT,XSL-XML.

    Thanks
    Durga

XSL-XML hope so. Because we are using XML tags in the excel template itself.

In General while we are doing new things R & D was quite common thing to do first of all. As of my Knowledge that was the best thing to learn rather than waiting for answers from others. Think it of awhile about the issue and go with some idea just like if we are using Excel template we are not supposed to use pdf or rdf then in the rest we have think off which one we need to use. That was general thought from my side to select XSL-XML option.

    Hi everyone,
I'm Diego, and I've been getting some issue to upload/download Excel templates using XML Publisher and Report Definition.
I've been working over Real Estate Module and I get an activity to make an Excel Report. I've made all necessary step to make an excel template; create a .xls template, uploading the file to XML Publisher Repository, creating a Report Definition associating a RDA, and so on...
When I generate the file in the Web (DV), it doesnt work; when I download the final excel, it doesnt appear any information. It comes just the statics texts or formatting, the real data information inside xml doesn't appear at excel.

I've made a lot of tests and changes, but without success.
FYI, I've already made a .rtf template and it worked well.

I'd really apreciate if anyone help me or at least having any clue about it.

    Thanks so much,
    Diego Santos
