    Hi,

How can we deactivate or end date predefined instance Statuses in installed Base in 11.5.10.2?

    Regards,
    Mohammed

I am afraid the seeded Instance Statuses (the ones that are greyed out) cannot be edited. You can however go to Diagnostics-->Examine and end date the status in this way. That will work without conflict.

So there is no "Standard" way as such.

But we have seen that editing values by Diagnostics-->Examine is not working in some instances. It give some error message saying value cannot be edited.

Any idea how this is controlled? Is there any profile option for this?

Hmmm not really... I think you can raise an SR with oracle asking them how to end date the instance statuses. No need to mention about DIagnostics->Examine. See if oracle recommends any other method or maybe gives u an update script.
