    Hi Zargon,
Actually, I have migrated all the database files from filesystems to ASM and then i have upgraded the database from 11.2.0.3 to 12.1.0.2 version. Now, my question,
Currently, we are using LVM(logical volumne manager). So, Can we able to implement compression in 11g or 12c? If yes, Could you please provide the reference documents.

    Thanks,
    Sunil Gowda

What compression are you wanting to implement? Advanced Compression is a licensed option and many of the compression variants are not available if you're not on Exadata or Exadata-compatible storage. Basic compression is available without a license, OLTP compression is available as is Archive compression with the Advanced Compression license, both available outside of Exadata.
