creating database using sql command

    i can create database using "CREATE DATABASE database_name" but i got error like "Database is already mounted"

    so provide solution to create database using sql command....

    After properly setting your environment you will:

    1) startup nomount pfile="....."

    2) execute create database script

    If the database is mounted then the files already exist as they've been identified by Oracle during the mount phase of startup. Trying to create a database again when the files already exist will throw an ORA-01101 error.

    And they may not be helpful at all seeing that the error message displays that the database specified in the CREATE DATABASE command is already mounted by another instance. Your links don't address that issue.
