    Hi All,

We developed an Tabular Form to insert multiple records to table. Here there is an requirement as we need to make one field as enterable field which is item name and second field which is called Item Description should be populated automatically based on the entered Item in Item Name Field. Can anyone please suggest on this.

When we create parameters section there is an option called Cascading LOV Option if we select description field as Select List Field.

    Hi All,

Is there any other way like setting properties for that field itself instead of going to build java scripts and AJAX ?

If you have a known rule for the contents of the second field...then a dynamic action is a perfect fit.

Actually first column in the tabular form is Item Name field and second column is Item Description which should populate based on the entered Item Name in the first field. It has to populate automatically when we tab out from the Item Name field after entering Item Name.

Is this feature work out for us through dynamic actions on Tabular Form.

Have you tried? Or are you saying the DA cannot reference the field in form?

Tried creating DA and identified that Actions are not able to perform on Tabular Form fields without AJAX and Java scripts. Can you please post some examples on DA how can we achieve this without them.
