Read here for the error message description:

    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14357/ch13.htm#SQPUG138

    To help you further:

SP2-0640 Not connected. Cause: The PASSWORD command was issued when there was no connection to the Oracle instance.
Action: Connect to the Oracle database before re-issuing the PASSWORD command.

That image is of your screen message, not the log file. If a log file exists you need to find it and read what it reports as the cause. All we know is that the connection was lost during the backup session; you need to look also in the alert log for any reason that the connection died and address it.
