    NorthShore University HealthSystem is currently seeking an Analyst, Business Intelligence. This individual will provide analytical support to the Center for Clinical and Research Informatics. This position is located in Evanston.

    In this role, you will:
    *Create ad-hoc reports for Research customers throughout the organization.
    *Construct customized datasets with unique data items specific to the goals of Research projects.
    *Document requirement specifications, report logic, and variables used in datasets.
    *Interact with Research stakeholders, physicians, nurses, IT, and financial analysts to gather report requirements.
    *Perform thorough analysis and collaborate with teammates to provide detailed and relevant results.
    *Answer questions from end-users and other analysts about the data in NorthShore's databases.
    *Determine technical and functional feasibility for data requests and communicate constraints to stakeholders.
    *Develop and maintain data dictionaries and report logic summaries for common report elements.

    Our ideal candidate will have:
    *Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, mathematics, finance, statistics, or related field.
    *2 years of data analysis, programming, or other business intelligence industry experience.
    *Previous healthcare experience is a plus.
    *Experience in developing reports from BI tools (i.e. Cognos, Business Objects) or analyzing and collecting data from oracle or similar databases.
    *Demonstrated proficiency writing complex SQL or other programming experience preferred.
    *Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and decision making skills.
    *Strong analytic, problem solving, negotiation, issue resolution and facilitation skills are required
    *Familiarity with healthcare industry, healthcare Research and the IRB, or healthcare information systems is a plus.
