Re: What is a Flexfield Flexfields allow for standardization across multiple modules. There are different types of flexfields, such as an accounting flexfield. If you are new to the e-Business Suite and flexfields, I would suggest reading the Oracle Applications Concepts Guide located in the documentation section of AppsNet: http://download.oracle.com/docs/virtual/index.html

Re: What is a Flexfield Flexfield is a combination of one or more fields, generally used to collect the data. In addition to flexfields we use valuesets(list of values) in order user not to enter wrong data. In Oracle Apps two types are available.
1. Key Flexfield (KFF) :- used to collect key information.
ex :- accounting info
2. Descriptive Flexfield(DFF) :- used to collect addtional info.
ex :- address info
