I cannot upload the 3rd document to this message due to the fact that it is 0.5 mb to big (max for zip-files is 3 mb). Do you have an email adress where I can send the last document to? Or can Sadik help me to upload the documents?

I will advice you to look at the Oracle download site. I have not done a lot with Site Studio but I know that there have been a several important patches for Site Studio. You might want to install them first.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Eric

Thanks for the doc. I have changed the max zip limit to 5MB. You will be able to upload now.

Re: Problem in Installing UCM server.

I will send you the last document of the Site Studio training.

Let me remark that these documents I have send you are made for Oracle partners. So they can be a little bit concise. If you really want to work with site studio, I would recommend you the attend an Oracle University course like these:
    - Stellent: Advanced Site Studio Skills
    - Stellent: Site Studio Fundamentals
    See: http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_...tegory_id=1341

The first one is also available as an Live Virtual Class.

Mind you: I am not an Oracle employee but a employee of an Oracle partner. But I do recommend these course due to my positive experiences with courses of the Oracle University, especially with the live virtual classes. You can follow these LVC's while sitting in your own office and no costs of traveling etc. need to be made.

Anyway. I hope the documents I have send you can give you a good start with Site Studio. This last document is a more general document regarding Site Studio. I am not able to upload them so I am going to mail them to you.

I was able to upload a zip-file with the files you need during the tutorial.

Re: Problem in Installing UCM server.

i had the same problem, and when i analyzed it further i got to know that during installation i missed a step, that step was when UCM ask
You are prompted to specify whether the installer should attempt to create the database tables automatically. Press '1' (yes) or '2' (no), and press [Enter] to continue.
    Select 1 .yes

when you dont select yes the userdb.txt is not created and thus the database connectivity would not be achieved. Also your IDC Content Admin Service idc_admin
would work as they dont need to connect to the database however in order to for your IDC Content Service idc to start you need database connection. best way to resolve this problem is to re install the UCM (As far as my knowledge goes). if there is any other solution please feel free to share.. thanks

Re: Problem in Installing UCM server.

    hello sam

i see that you have given database user as ucm, is this the same user you have used in another instance name idc if that is correct then yes definately the error makes sense as it says that jdbc connection matches idc. please change the user to ucm1 or something different then ucm. i think that should work..

Re: Problem in Installing UCM server.

When you do not create a database during the installation of UCM, you could follow an other path. The installation gives you two options:
    1. Create the tables etc. during installation.
    2. Create the tables before the installation. This is done when you already have a database of when you have (for example) cloned your test database and you want to install ucm against the clone of the database.

Option 2 can be used to solve tour problem. In your UCM-installation map, there is also a map called something like "database\oracle". There you will find scripts like "all.sql"; this script creates all tables. When you use the jdbc-user of UCM, then this should work. You can also change the jdbc-username in you config.cfg, but I do not know if this works because the encrypted password is also in the in the config.cf.

So you might be forced to update the UCM installation to renew the jdbc-user, password and database name. It might be possible to set this in the UCM Admin console, but I am not sure.

I hope this solution helps you to solve your problem.

    Kind regards,

    Eric
