Re: Oracle 11g installation: Enterprise manager configuration failed

This is a cleanup issue. Was this your first installation attempt?

Deinstalling and reinstalling should fix it. Refer to Oracle Guide here for instructions to deinstall

Re: Oracle 11g installation: Enterprise manager configuration failed

Well not really. I don't have the schema installed and your issue occurred because you did not uninstall as per instructions. If you have time you should go through the documentation I linked you to and learn the proper uninstallation procedure to get back a clean system.

Re: Oracle 11g installation: Enterprise manager configuration failed

HR in 11g is part of the companion CD; read here:

    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B...111/b28328.pdf

If you did not install the companion CD then do so.

Re: Oracle 11g installation: Enterprise manager configuration failed

The companion cd is now called "Oracle Database 11g Examples Release 1". Go to oracle's download page and click the "See All" beside the Database version and OS version you have. Then download the examples release zip file.
